Strategic Plan

Five pillars guide how the Chamber spends its time, money and volunteer energy over the next three years.

Our strategic plan was shaped by member surveys, a full-day board retreat and conversations with Town staff and neighbouring chambers. It sets a direction, and each year the board turns it into a concrete work plan.

Our mission: to strengthen Beaumont's business community through connection, advocacy and opportunity.

Strategic pillars and goals

  1. A thriving local economy

Help Beaumont businesses start, survive and scale.

    • Launch a new-business welcome package by spring
    • Host four small-business workshops each year
    • Partner with Community Futures on a micro-loan information night
  2. A stronger voice

Make sure local business is heard whenever decisions are made.

    • Present to Town Council at least twice a year
    • Publish a plain-language municipal election guide
    • Survey members annually on the issues that matter most
  3. Connected members

Give every member a reason to show up and a way to meet others.

    • Grow event attendance by 15% over three years
    • Introduce a member-to-member mentorship circle
    • Refresh the Chamber Perks programme every quarter
  4. Welcoming, bilingual Beaumont

Honour the francophone roots that make Beaumont distinctive.

    • Offer key communications in English and French
    • Celebrate francophone-owned businesses in the directory
    • Co-host an event with community cultural groups
  5. A healthy, sustainable Chamber

Keep the organization financially sound and well governed.

    • Diversify revenue beyond membership fees
    • Recruit and train volunteer board members
    • Report progress to members at every annual general meeting
